DeBlanke Scores AFI Film… Soundtrack Forthcoming.

11 Oct

Composer, songwriter, and ROBOTANISTS’ main man, Daniel DeBlanke, spent this summer working with the American Film Institute, scoring the short film, Pyro and Klepto (directed by Justin Chandra).

Sarah Ellquist (ROBOTANISTS, Daydrifter) lends her voice and words to a few tracks on the soundtrack as well.

Check out this soundtrack sneak peek!

DeBlanke, isn’t a stranger to film, having co-scored the Official Sundance Film Festival Selection and performance piece, Loma Lynda Episode II, along with Ellquist.  His work has also appeared on the small screen, with songs on numerous TV shows like MTV’s Jersey Shore and ABC’s Private Practice. He’s also worked closely with other composers on shows for Nickelodeon, MTV, and the Disney Channel.

Overhead Records is pleased to support the young filmmakers and AFI grads who created Pyro and Klepto. Look for the film online and at upcoming film festivals, and the soundtrack on itunes and other digital retailers worldwide in January!
